We are pleased to announce that Dr. John Drazan, assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering at Fairfield University has been named the 2025 BMRC/ORS Mentorship & Outreach Fellow.
Dr. Drazan and his team from Fairfield University recently led the first Sports2STEM outreach program for the BMRC at Duquesne University. Local middle and high school students explored the science and engineering behind real world basketball skills and measured their own progress with the help of Dr. Drazan and his senior design students. Dr. Drazan has combined his love of basketball and science into actionable process to ensure students who might not otherwise be engaged in STEM programs are reached.
We applaud him and his efforts to bring science to all youth, regardless of background. His commitment to broadening opportunities in STEM, educational access, and community engagement will further BMRC’s mission to foster inclusive excellence in musculoskeletal research.
