Congratulations to this year’s cohort of BMRC Summer Student Research Program (SSRP) participants, which includes nine students from both inside and outside the University of Pittsburgh.

Following on the heels of last year’s successful inaugural season, SSRP will provide students with the opportunity of hands-on laboratory experience and in-classroom learning, guided by our expert mentors in the BMRC Core labs. Classroom topics include communication and networking skills, how to apply to medical/graduate school and how to give an effective “elevator pitch” about their research. Students will then present their findings at the end-of-program symposium in August.

Congratulations once again to Olivia Bartholomew, Alessandro Di Criscio, Santiago Caceres, Liam Klingensmith, Abhi Nadendla, Dhrupad Ponnamaneni, Maria Silvaggio, Evan Sun and Anvi Tatkar, and a thank you to the BMRC faculty and staff mentoring these aspiring, young researchers.
