Today marks an exciting milestone for the BMRC BioBank with the collection of our first pediatric sample at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. This important achievement was led by Dr. Stephen A. Mendelson, Acting Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery, UPMC Children’s Hospital.

By expanding our BioBank to include pediatric samples, we are strengthening opportunities for breakthrough musculoskeletal research that can benefit children, adolescents, and young adults. This expansion broadens the impact of our research efforts and brings us closer to developing new discoveries that improve patient care across all stages of life.
